Aruvippuram
is situated 24 km to the south east of Thiruvananthapuram,
near Neyyattinkara. It is a small but lovely picnic
spot. Aruvippuram is the historical location where Sree
Narayana Guru spent his early years. A small Siva temple
built by Sree Narayana Guru attracts a large number
of worshippers during the 'Shivaratri' festival. There
is a small stream here and the name of this place is
derived from this stream. Aruvippuram Asramam and Aruvippuram
Cave are the other nearby attractions. |
